Error Codes - 112 (You do not have permission to initiate a connection to this host)

Error 112 means you are not permitted to connect to that host. The cause depends on whether you and the host use Parsec for Teams.

If you or the host use Parsec for Teams

You are not on the same team as the host, or not in a group that grants access to it. Ask your team administrator to add you to the same team or group as the host.

If neither you nor the host use Parsec for Teams

The link being used for the connection is invalid. Try one of the following:

  • Ask the host to generate a new link, and check that you are using it in full.
  • If you and the host are friends, connect using the Connect button on the host's entry in the Computers tab instead of using a link.
