If the audio of the stream keeps cutting in and out, or you find it is too quiet or distorted, here are some possible reasons:
- The 'New' echo cancelling feature may cause the stream audio to stutter or crackle in some cases, due to issues with the Windows API used. If this happens often, try to change the host computer's audio device properties in Windows to use 48000hz as the sampling rate. If the issue persists, turn off Echo Cancelling completely in Parsec, and try an alternative fix in the echo article
- If you are simply noticing the audio is too quiet while using the Computers tab, and Echo Cancelling is turned off, then check if anything in the host and client's volume mixer is set too low, such as a game that is being heard or Parsec itself. With some audio drivers, your host computer's master volume (the volume for the whole system, rather than just a specific application) can dictate the volume heard by the clients, and you should try tweaking it to be higher and check if the connected guests observe any improvement
- In case of very stuttery audio, guests can try to increase the audio buffer via the advanced settings
