Parsec Teams and Parsec Warp subscribers can enjoy native pen support from their Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 clients connecting to Windows 10 hosts running Windows version 1809 or newer.
With the Enhanced Pen option located in the client settings of your Parsec app, you can decide whether you want your drawing tablet pen to appear as a Windows Ink device on the host (with pressure, tilt, rotation) or as a mouse. You can switch between these two modes at any time by using the hotkey specified in the hotkey settings menu (on Windows it's CTRL + Shift + P).
Your client pen device driver needs to be set to use Windows Ink, if it is set to use Wintab the drawing tablet will act as a mouse with no pressure sensitivity. For Wacom tablets, the option can be found in your driver software package. Once you have enabled the setting, you should close your driver software and disconnect and reconnect your drawing tablet. Then, check that the setting is still applied in the driver software once you have reconnected the tablet.
If you do not wish to enable Windows Ink for every application on your client device (perhaps it interferes with your artist workflow directly on the client), we recommend using the Wacom Driver to add a profile specifically for Parsec (C:\Program Files\Parsec\parsecd.exe) that enables Windows Ink. Remember: The client device is the device you use at home. Doing this on the device you're connecting to (called the host) will have no impact. Parsec does not have any interaction with the Wacom driver or software package on the host you're connecting to, the Parsec app uses its own system, there is also no requirement for a Wacom device to be connected to the host.
Notes for pen support:
For the creative application on the host (such as Photoshop) to receive pen inputs from the client, the software must support the Windows Ink API. If you are noticing your software is not detecting your pen inputs over Parsec, even though the host is running Windows 10 version 1809 or better and your client is set to use Windows Ink, then please try to update your creative software to the latest version available from your creative software vendor (eg. Upgrade from Photoshop 2016 to Photoshop 2020).
