Starting with Parsec version 150-90, you can now pass your Windows or macOS client's microphone audio to your Windows host. This feature's primary goal is to allow you to join voice meetings directly on your host, or play games and use voice chat.
Requirements
Keep in mind that normally you need to join the computer using the same Parsec account as the host for the feature to function. The exception is that this isn't necessary for Team customers using Team Computers.
- Host: Must be a Windows machine, with the Parsec Virtual USB Driver (version 0.2.5.0 or newer) installed. This can be downloaded from the link below the microphone setting, in the Experimental tab
- Client: Must be a Windows or macOS machine
How to enable
Both client and host require the below settings to be enabled, which is found in the Client and Host tabs respectively.
Client
Host
The host also has an additional option (Persistent), which allows you to keep the Parsec microphone always attached to the host. This is helpful if you have complex audio setups that rely on a stable audio device configuration. Without Persistent selected, the Microphone will be added and removed from the host every time you connect with Parsec.
