If you're hosting a Parsec session on a PC with FreeSync or G-Sync enabled and you're experiencing high latency, try disabling it on the host computer. This applies to the host's display settings; disabling adaptive sync on the client won't affect stream latency.

FreeSync (AMD) and G-Sync (NVIDIA) reduce screen tearing by varying the display's refresh rate to match the frame rate. That adaptive timing can interfere with how Parsec captures and encodes frames, which shows up as added latency in the stream.

Before changing these settings, work through Troubleshooting Lag, Latency and Quality Issues. Adaptive sync is an uncommon cause, so rule out the usual ones first. If latency persists, use the same control your GPU vendor documents for turning adaptive sync on: AMD FreeSync settings in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition or G-SYNC setup in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
