Our echo cancel feature works with an integration into Discord Voice chat. If you're using another voice chat application, you may need the more manual fix detailed in Eliminating Sound Echo While Co-Op'ing With Friends.

Enable echo cancellation

1. On the host, open config.txt in your Parsec directory:
   • Windows: %appdata%\Parsec or %programdata%\Parsec
   • macOS: /Users/Shared/.parsec/ or /Users/USERNAME/.parsec/

2. Add this line:

   host_audio_cancel=1

3. Save the file.
4. Restart Parsec on the host.
